PORTSMOUTH – After a year’s hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the New Hampshire Art Association is bringing back its annual summer exhibit at the historic Sheafe Warehouse in Prescott Park.
With close to 40 NHAA artists participating, there will be works for sale in a variety of mediums, both framed and unframed.
“There’s a real sense of excitement on the part of our artists, who are anxious to share the new works of art they have been creating over the past year,” said Renee Giffroy, NHAA Board President.
“Our summer exhibit in the park draws thousands of people, both visitors to the city and members of the local community,” Giffroy said. “But we expect our exhibit to be especially popular this year. Because of all the time we’ve had to spend indoors during the pandemic, people are anxious to get out and do something fun.”
While visiting Prescott Park, Strawbery Banke Museum, the Gundalow and other summer events going on in the city, visitors are invited to stop by, enjoy the work of local artists, and take home a piece of art for themselves or for a gift.
