BOSTON – Fiona Tan is joining the Wayfair team as its new global head of customer and supplier technology, to drive the continued growth of the company’s engineering organization including the rapid scaling of the company’s technology and platforms.
Tan, who has more than 25 years of experience, previously worked in executive leadership roles at Walmart overseeing technology and engineering. Her other roles at Walmart include senior vice president of customer technology and vice president of engineering. Her team also drove technology strategy and operational excellence across Walmart Labs.
“We are thrilled to welcome Fiona to Wayfair as she brings with her extensive experience, technical depth and proven ability to scale teams and technology amid considerable growth,” said Jim Miller, Wayfair’s chief technology officer. “Fiona is perfectly positioned to take the lead in rapidly scaling the technology and platforms that will further solidify Wayfair as the premier destination for home for consumers and the go-to e-commerce platform for our supplier partners.”
Tan also served in a number of leadership roles at Ariba, where she led a global engineering organization responsible for the strategy, lifecycle, and delivery of the Ariba Commerce Network, as well as TIBCO Software.
