General cargo ship BEATA experienced engine issues in the afternoon Dec 28 west of Orkney, Orkney islands, and went adrift. The ship was adrift until morning Dec 29, when assumedly, she was taken on tow, being at that time close to northern coast of Scotland. She reached Scapa Flow at night Dec 29, and was brought to anchor. As of 0700 UTC Dec 30, she remained in the same position.
