Brazil-based natural gas company Gas Natural Açu (GNA) has received its first imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo in Açu port, in Rio de Janeiro, the company said in a statement.
GNA – a BP PLC, Siemens and Prumo Logistica backed company – has received the LNG cargo from BP.
The super-chilled fuel will be used in a thermoplant known as GNA I, which is expected to start commercial operations in the first half of 2021, the company said in the statement.
