Firefighters battle a blaze Tuesday at McCubbin’s Furniture & Appliancse in Leitchfield. According to owner Billy McCubbin, the fire was caused by the wind shifting on a pile of burning cardboard that ignited the warehouse facility behind the store 2400 William Thomason Byway. The billow of black smoke could be seen for miles. Multiple units including the Clarkson, Leitchfield and East Grayson fire departments responded.
