LEXINGTON, Ky. (Feb. 11, 2021) — Registration is now open for the 11th annual Supply Chain Forum presented the University of Kentucky’s Gatton College of Business and Economics. The free virtual event will be held from 9 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. daily on March 16-17.
This year’s theme, “Thriving Through Disruption,” will feature a keynote presentation by Monique Picou, former SVP/CSCO of Sam’s Club and current supply chain executive at Google.
Other speakers will include: Karin Bursa, CEO of NIRAKIO; Haoying Sun, director of the Master of Science in Supply Chain Management program at Gatton College; and Regina Lemgruber, vice president of demand planning at Estée Lauder.
Additionally, a panel moderated by Jake Barr, CEO of BlueWorld Supply Chain Consulting, will feature Tim Engstrom of Essendant, Aimee Peacock of FLEXcon and Billy Spears of Lexmark.
Hosted by the Don and Cathy Jacobs Executive Education Center, the 2021 forum brings together national-caliber supply chain leaders who are practitioners, academics and consultants. The event allows businesses to share their supply chain initiatives with each other and engage with MBA students working on supply chain improvement projects. These projects will be discussed during a session featuring Project Connect Teams.
“Beyond the recent focus on global supply chain disruptions, more large and small businesses are making strategic supply chain investments to innovate and stay competitive,” Simon Sheather, dean of Gatton College, said. “There has never been a better time to thrive as supply chain professionals than right now.”
The program will also include the presentation of the seventh annual Commonwealth Supply Chain Innovation Award sponsored by SAS Institute Inc. The award honors organizations that have demonstrated operational excellence in supply chain management, and this year’s program will also feature a supply chain hero.
Past honorees include Escalade Sports, Lexmark International, TempurSealy Inc., R.J. Corman and Toyota Motor North America.
The virtual program is free and open to the public. Registration is required by March 14 and can be completed online.
