Gardaí and Revenue’s Customs officers have made one of the biggest drugs seizures in the Republic for years, with a haul in excess of €12 million.
The drugs were found in a container which had arrived at Ringaskiddy in Cork Harbour.
The Irish Times understands the drugs, all of which is believed to be cocaine, arrived in freight that originated from South America.
