Vanessa Serrano Cuevas has been appointed Grupo TMM’s chief executive officer.
She previously served as vice president of the company’s energy division. Her professional achievements include founding the food company Dasami as well as the digital platform Zertú.
Headquartered in Mexico City, Grupo TMM is a Mexican maritime transportation management and logistics company.
José F. Serrano Segovia, chairman of the board of directors, said the company was “confident that her leadership abilities will contribute not only to the creation of new alliances and business partnerships but also to consolidate the projects that we have been developing at Grupo TMM.”
ArcBest
Dennis Anderson, who earlier this year was named ArcBest’s chief customer officer, now is overseeing all customer-facing functions, including sales, marketing, customer service and strategy.
Danny Loe assumed the position of president of asset-light logistics and retained his role as chief yield officer.
Fort Smith, Arkansas-based ArcBest, a supply chain logistics provider, said last week it was making organizational changes to strategically align certain functions of its integrated solutions.

Anderson joined ArcBest in 2003 and held positions in the pricing department and led the strategy team before serving as chief customer experience officer.
Loe has been with ArcBest since 1997 and previously held several senior positions in the ABF Freight pricing department.
Fullen Dock & Warehouse
Fullen Dock & Warehouse, a full-service Mississippi River terminal, warehousing, trucking, aggregates supply and logistics company, has named Greg Hutchison as president of the company.
Hutchison will be responsible for leading all commercial activities and operations of the Memphis, Tennessee-based company.
Fullen Dock & Warehouse’s parent company is Enstructure, led by co-CEOs Matt Satnick and Philippe De Montigny, who called Hutchison “an accomplished senior executive with tremendous operational and business development experience and a proven track record of delivering positive results.”
Hutchison joins Fullen Dock & Warehouse with more than 30 years of leadership and management experience in the terminal, maritime and shipping logistics industries. Most recently, he oversaw North American terminal operations for Yara International, one of the world’s largest fertilizer companies. Hutchison previously held a variety of senior leadership and management positions with such North American terminal businesses as Metro Ports, Kinder Morgan Terminals and Royster-Clark.
Crane Worldwide Logistics
Crane Worldwide Logistics announced Tuesday that Gerard Ryan will be returning to the company as president of its global commercial business.
Ryan previously played a key role in the creation and development of Crane Worldwide in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
“Experienced supply chain professionals make all the difference in our partnership approach and we are delighted to welcome back Gerard Ryan and his experience to the Crane team. His knowledge and expertise, in addition to his talent to proactively identify and resolve challenges for clients, will add significant value,” said CEO Keith Winters.
Houston-headquartered Crane Worldwide Logistics is a supply chain solutions provider with 120 locations in 30 countries. It announced last week that its Detroit customs brokerage center is fully operational and it had hired Matthew Scibiorski to lead the trade team there.
Scibiorski is a licensed customs broker with 10 years of experience with service providers and manufacturers.
Crane Worldwide said it offers a one-stop shop with its trade advisory services working in conjunction with customs brokerage to ensure clients’ compliance. With the expansion of its brokerage service in Detroit, Crane Worldwide said it can provide door-to-door service to all industries, with a specialization in automotive clients.
“Even though brokers can file remotely, geography still plays an important role in ensuring we meet our clients’ needs. Industries can vary by location. Therefore it is important we also have the compliance expertise that goes with that,” said Alexandra Kleinschmidt, Crane’s vice president of customs brokerage and trade advisory services.
Premier Manufacturing
Premier Manufacturing has appointed Matt Weinmann chief operating officer.
Weinmann has more than 30 years of experience in manufacturing. He most recently was president of Testing Machines. He also served as the vice president of global operations.
Premier Manufacturing, a maker of trailer components, is headquartered in Tualatin, Oregon.
United Airlines
United Airlines has named Mike Hanna senior vice president of airport operations.
Hanna, who has been with the company 22 years, will oversee the carrier’s worldwide airport operations, including United Ground Express.
He had been the vice president of United’s Chicago O’Hare hub. Hanna previously led hubs in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Southeastern Freight Lines
Lexington, South Carolina-based less-than-truckload transportation services provider Southeastern Freight Lines has promoted Deane Emens to service center manager in San Antonio.
Emens has more than 12 years of experience at Southeastern, starting his career at the Houston service center as an inbound supervisor. He has served in various leadership positions and most recently was the assistant service center manager in Houston.
“Deane has more than 20 years of experience in the LTL industry and we are thrilled for him to lead with this expertise,” said Brian Schulz, regional vice president of operations for Southeastern Freight Lines.
