Greenfield IT Procurement Lead – £bn FinTech Start up – Central London – £60,000-£70,000 plus excellent package

I’ve been engaged by a £bn start-up looking for an IT Procurement Lead in their greenfield strategic sourcing function based in Central London, with progression to Head of Procurement expected within 12-18 months.

Having recently launched in the Financial Services sector, this forward-thinking business is at the cutting edge of their market, securing considerable funding to deliver innovative and fresh solutions to an often considered out of date industry. They seek an outcome-driven, assured procurement professional to join their recently appointed Head of Procurement and help build the procurement function, in a ‘number two’ role created by and advocated for by the offices of the COO & CFO. Within this highly supported but demanding environment, the ideal candidate will need to be a self-starter, comfortable operating at pace, possessing the gravitas to communicate and influence at senior levels. With considerable spends across IT (software) & Technology, you will need to have extensive experience delivering software tenders/projects, in either a consulting or industry role.

Your first 6 months in post will see you engage with stakeholders across their talented and sociable team, scope requirements and design bespoke processes to drive best practice procurement across the organisation.

To succeed in this exciting, newly created position, you will need to be:

• A strong procurement professional, with extensive experience delivering software/technology procurement programmes
• Comfortable engaging at senior levels, with the gravitas to influence strategy at the highest levels of the business.
• Be able to consistently, and immediately, demonstrate the value of procurement using a collaborative approach
• Excellent at delivering at pace, be adaptable and operate with integrity.
• A strong value creator with a keen analytical skillset.
