LONDON — Technology giant Lenovo is reviewing its agency roster across EMEA with a view to creating one PR hub to oversee the region, PRovoke has learned.
The $47 billion company – which recently introduced the ThinkPad X1 Fold, the first foldable PC – currently works with a wide range of communications and marketing agencies across EMEA, including 3 Monkeys Zeno in the UK and H+K Strategies and Canela in Spain.
Elsewhere, Zeno is Lenovo’s agency of record in the US, and last year BCW picked up the firm’s China account from BlueFocus. WE Communications leads Lenovo’s PR work in Asia-Pacific, Singapore and Hong Kong, while in India, The PRactice holds the account.
It is understood that Lenovo released a competitive RFI for agencies interested in running its EMEA communications hub via the Ariba procurement platform in the summer, but has yet to reach the RFP stage of the process.
Lenovo appointed Torod Neptune – one of PRovoke’s Influence 100 and a recipient of an Individual Achievement SABRE award this year – as worldwide group vice president and chief communications officer in 2017.
Lenovo representatives had not responded to request for comment as this story went live.
