Creating opportunities with global partners and encouraging start-up entrepreneurs
Logistics entrepreneurs are confident that ‘TILOG-LOGISTIX Online Business Matching’ activity, organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), has boosted the sectors despite the COVID-19 pandemic, with foreign buyers showing great interest in getting to know the 50 Thai companies involved.
The DITP, Ministry of Commerce, organised the business matching activity for Thai logistics entrepreneurs on an online platform, entitled ‘TILOG-LOGISTIX Online Business Matching’, on 26-27 August 2020. Over 50 leading logistics operators in Thailand joined the event, including businesses from China, Japan, the European Union, and the United States.
Mr. Jarunpat Jettananusartra, General Manager of World Trade Connection Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd., which operates one-stop international trading and logistics solutions, said, “Participation in the business matching activity with the DITP provided market access opportunities for logistics providers to meet importers and exporters directly using an online platform. Going online made it more convenient for entrepreneurs to reach new clients. The online business matching presented a great opportunity for logistic providers to learn exactly what prospective customers are looking for, resulting in quality services and business connections being developed.”
“WTC Logistics is a dynamic freight forwarder covering air freight, sea freight, and cross-border services. We have warehouses and a team of specialists providing service solutions. Traditionally, dealing with customers takes a lot of time but TILOG-LOGISTIX Online Business Matching activity gave us the chance to coordinate business faster and more efficiently.”
Mr. Natthanon Karomwattanakul from Sichol Corp, an international freight forwarder, said that the company decided to participate in TILOG-LOGISTIX Online Business Matching activity because it is seeking foreign business partners looking for forwarder service agents in Thailand. He said it was also a good opportunity for Sichol Corp to gain recognition among overseas forwarders and new business opportunities and expand its market footprint through the coming year.
“The TILOG-LOGISTIX Online Business Matching activity helps the logistics business sector in Thailand reach international standard. It allows companies to build strong networks with 50 other companies, both in Thailand and worldwide. Moreover, it generates income for the service sector to help it navigate through the COVID-19 pandemic safely,” the Sichol Corp executive noted.
