The Senior Procurement Analyst owns the whole strategic procurement process from sourcing to supplier off-boarding for indirect categories for HR, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Distribution, and Finance. The Procurement Manager develops and executes procurement business plans and category management plans, partners with and supports the needs of functional business owners, and provides inputs to the creation of policies and processes to drive procurement forward while maintaining our culture and supporting our growth. The Senior Procurement Specialist is an individual contributor reporting to the Procurement Manager.
What you’ll do:
- Take complete ownership of the whole strategic procurement process from sourcing to supplier off-boarding including market assessments, consolidating spend across the organization, issuing RFPs, evaluating and comparing proposals, negotiating contracts (pricing and terms), and supplier management
- Apply deep knowledge of spend categories to develop and implement strategic category plans to optimize cost and improve quality in close collaboration with our internal business partners
- Drive continuous improvement of policies and procedures to optimize spend, reduce procurement cycle time, increase real-time spend visibility, and maintain internal business partner satisfaction
- Collaborate with other departments to prioritize procurement needs, solicit inputs, and align goals
- Think analytically to evaluate results and determine if organizational objectives are being met
- Review 3rd party contracts, negotiate and sign off on commercial terms, and enforce the Delegation of Authority requirements for contracts
- Use the contract management system to store and administer all 3rd party contracts and use the resulting data to proactively address contracting issues especially around orphaned, perpetual, and auto-renew contracts
- Hold regular stakeholder meetings to align on opportunities following a stakeholder engagement plan
- Provide frequent actionable management reporting
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related fields
- 4 years’ experience in strategic sourcing or procurement in indirect categories
- Ability to clearly and convincingly present written and oral information
- Strong cross-functional communication and collaboration skills and experience
- Expert in advanced functions and features in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience in using procurement systems (P2P, S2C, CLM, SRM)
- Experience in supplier management activities (QBRs, Supplier Scorecards, Supplier Rankings)
- Experience in developing templates (RFP, Contract, etc.) and associated playbooks (preferred)
