Target grocery shoppers will have a much bigger assortment to peruse this month and through the holidays as the retailer is adding 750 fresh and frozen items which will be available for same-day order and drive-up consumers.
It’s initially expanding inventory at over 400 locations, according to a CNBC report, and aims to have the same inventory expansion in play at more than 1,500 locations by end of year.
The move, according to the report, is about making shopping speedier and more convenient.
Target Chief Operating Officer John Mulligan said speed and convenience have “become even more critical for our guests searching for easy and safe ways to shop during the pandemic.”
“During a time when even more people are looking for different ways to get the items they need, we’ll continue to invest in making Target the easiest and safest place to shop,” Mulligan said in a news release, according to CNBC.
