Terms of reference have been released for the Department of Defence review of procurement.
“By reviewing Defence’s suite of contracting templates, its procurement practices and processes, we can deliver a simpler and less burdensome procurement system,” said Price in a statement on Friday.
“We must… ensure we are balancing the needs of our defence industry with those of the Australian Defence Force and that’s what this review will seek to do.”
The report by Andrew Staines (First Assistant Secretary, Procurement and Contracting) and Francesca Rush (Assistant Secretary, General Counsel – Commercial) is expected to be finalised mid-2021
