UA Warehouse Employees & The Exchange

Our goal was for our warehouse employees to be able to enjoy their meals while adhering to social distancing guidelines.

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (PRWEB)
September 12, 2020

Uniform Advantage (UA), a multi-channel retailer of medical uniforms for medical and hospitality industries, launches an initiative for their warehouse employees located in Lithia Springs, Georgia. The project, deemed as The Exchange is a 2,500 square foot breakroom built with modular plastic blocks designed to provide a safe environment for employees.

Using building blocks from EverBlock Systems, the newly established breakroom resembles an open-air marketplace. In the area, one can find refrigerated drinks and food items, as well as pantry-type snacks. Each week, employees have a $35 credit to purchase their lunch and snacks inside The Exchange using a self-serve checkout kiosk.

“We have seen great teamwork come from this initiative. Leaders took charge to create a safe environment for their employees,” said Dayna Johnson, Vice President of Operations. “Our goal was for our warehouse employees to be able to enjoy their meals while adhering to social distancing guidelines. We appreciate all our employee’s hard work; this project helps us celebrate the wins!”

The Exchange was designed in June using EverBlock Systems, and installation began in July. Besides being a team-building project and a location to practice social distancing, The Exchange became a safe area for employees to eat their meals and reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19. Because meals are available within the warehouse, employees do not have to leave the location to purchase their meals.
