President of Chhattisgarh BJP Farmers’ Cell Poonam Chandrakar On Monday flayed the Congress for reviving its proposed agitation against Centre on paddy procurement issue.
Chandrakar said the ruling Congress is going for political confrontation for its selfish motive and delaying paddy procurement in the state.
The Congress had earlier temporarily suspended its proposed Delhi march in the wake of Ayodhya verdict.
Chandrakar said due to lack of vision the state government is indulging in pressure tactics while it is assuring farmers that procurement will be done at Rs 2500 per quintal.
Cabinet ministers and Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress Committee president are issuing threat which indicates that the state government is trying to create chaos in the state. Ministers have even threatened of imposing economic blockade in the state, he pointed out.
He added that with a positive note, the state government should make efforts to hold talks with the Centre on the issue. The stand taken by the Congress government is both negative and undemocratic, he added.
Everyone has the right to table his problem and through talks a positive solution can be found, the BJP leader said.
The state government should procure the paddy at the earliest from the farmers, otherwise too much negativity will do no good, he said.
