Logimatic and MAN Energy Solutions have collaborated to standardise the exchange of Request For Quote (RFQ) and Purchase Order (PO) information between shipping companies and suppliers.
{mprestriction ids=”1,2″} SERTICA, a procurement product by Logimatic has been directly integrated with the Sales Order System of MAN Energy Solutions to eliminate retyping prices and other procurement information. Shipping company DFDS has automated its procurement process by integrating the new SERTICA Connect system.
SERTICA Connect gives shipping companies access to communicate directly with several maritime suppliers. The direct integration enables the easy exchange of request for quotes, purchase orders and order confirmations.
Michael Paarup, COO at Logimatic Solutions, explained: “Shipping companies benefit from receiving all information digitally. This saves all parties time and money. By receiving quotes directly in SERTICA, the shipping companies can easily compare prices to find the most attractive supplier.”

One of these customers is DFDS, who is actively using SERTICA Connect. “We have been interested in finding a standardised and efficient solution to exchange RFQ and PO information with suppliers to ensure quicker responses, reduce the workload and minimize errors for both DFDS and our suppliers,” said Lene Kragkær Nilsson, operational procurement manager at DFDS.
