Vancouver opens virtual open house for Broadway Plan
The City of Vancouver has launched a virtual open house for the Broadway Plan, which examines the possible opportunities created by the Broadway Subway project including increasing job space, deepening housing affordability, improving parks and public spaces, and introducing and renewing public amenities. The virtual open house along with supplementary information and materials are available at shapeyourcity.ca/broadway-plan.
PCL debuts Job Site Resourcing logistics solution
PCL Construction introduced JOB Site Resourcing, a construction logistics management solution integrated within the company’s Job Site Insights smart construction platform. The platform is a “mobile enabled logistics management solution designed specifically for the construction market to manage the shared usage of resources, and track details of delivery and movement of materials to job sites. Site resources can include elevators, staging or unloading areas, and material handling equipment like cranes and hoist,” a PCL release stated.
Manitoba winter road construction complete
The province of Manitoba announced its winter road system is fully open with the exception of the Tadoule Lake Road after warm December and January weather delayed construction. Typically, the winter road season goes from mid-January to mid-March and is over 2,381 km long serving 30,000 Manitobans in 22 communities.
