Haizol’s Annual Supply Chain Summit in Shanghai; Current trends in the manufacturing industry in 2020

‘The most important thing to do now is to maintain curiosity and keep learning.’ This was the motto of the sourcing and supply chain conference held by Haizol last weekend. This event attracted over 3,500 attendees, and dozens of key industry professionals, making it an iconic event in the manufacturing arena.

SHANGHAI, Nov. 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — On November 16th, 2019, Haizol hosted its 4th Annual Supply Chain Summit in Shanghai, China. This event focused on current trends in the manufacturing industry, and welcomed over 40 top sourcing professionals. Keynote speeches and roundtable discussions allowed key insights into the industry to be shared, alongside innovations and developments in manufacturing. An impressive 3,500 attendees who are current customers and investors of Haizol joined the summit from purchasing and supply chain fields worldwide, the feedback was it was an incredible, unprecedented, and insightful event.

The event was opened by Chuang Baohong, VP of Purchasing for Asia Pacific Fresenius Medical. He kept the audience vividly entertained throughout. Haizol’s founder and CEO, Sherry She, gave a moving speech into the economic and political transformation of China, and how this has influenced the sourcing supply chain globally, for both companies and individuals working in this industry.

Sherry Stated ‘we hope that everyone will quietly think; who am I, how can I increase my influence, how can I make my past connections and resources become my added value. How can I keep looking forward to learn about new technological developments, but also keep my head down and get things done. How can I always surround myself with people who have positive energy, curiosity and an eagerness to learn.”

The summit proceeded to talk about the latest trends in industrial digitalization and change. Touching on the idea that the boundary between industry and internet is no longer there, and that digitalization of the industry is vital for economic growth, where data is insight and an asset.
Companies cooperating with Haizol presented on how this partnership has increased their business and improved their upstream and downstream joint venture partners. This discussion brought valuable advice to attendees on central topics such as how to negotiate with suppliers, supplier risk management, sourcing leadership, and sourcing development trends. The Q&A was buzzing with interaction, information exchange, and digging deep into this industry.
