Lufthansa Cargo and ANA Cargo recently collaborated to deliver two tonnes of relief supplies to Australia.
Lufthansa transported the supplies from Frankfurt to Tokyo on February 3. From Tokyo, ANA Cargo flew the cargo to Sydney.
DB Schenker was also involved in the initiative; it supported the logistics and collected the donations.
The relief goods delivered to Sydney included two tonnes of self-made pouches and nests for baby Australian animals who were injured and/or orphaned in the recent bushfires. The pouches and nets handmade by members of the ‘Deutschland hilft Australiens Wildtieren!’ (Germany helps Australia’s Wildlife!) group, consisting of more than 20,000 animal lovers from Germany.
