Munya Chawawa has filmed a hilarious Euro 2020-themed sketch ahead of England’s game against Italy in the final on Sunday.

The men’s national team will win their first major tournament since 1966 if they triumph, and comedian Munya, 28, has his own entertaining take on British fans of the beautiful game.

In a video shared to social media, the funnyman, who is set to appear on Celebrity Masterchef this year, can be seen in the squad’s red pre-game training shirt, depicting a scene in Italian chain restaurant Bella Italia.

Opening with a catchphrase as the video begins, he turns to his fictional wife Linda and whispers: ‘What the rumpleclart Linda? This place is Italian!’, to which she tells him: ‘Well cover up your Brexit tattoo then!’

The camera then turns to Munya as a waiter who arrives to take their order.

Munya’s football fan character launches into song at the waiter: ‘Three Lions on a shirt,’ to which the waiter says: ‘Erm, I’m English, mate.’

The soccer devotee declares: ‘Yeah, alright Luigi, tell it to the judge.’

The waiter then tells the sports fan: ‘Sir, we’d prefer it if you didn’t do Three Lions at the table,’ to which the soon-to-be spectator protests: ‘I didn’t do them at the table, I did them in the toilet.’

The football fan then asks the waiter what he would recommend from the menu to an England player, to which he replies: ‘Pasta bowl?’

The England supporter hits back: ‘They do pass the ball, you idiot. I mean food.’

He goes on: ‘Oh, here you go Linda,’ as he reads from the menu: ‘Italy is known for its pens.’

Correcting him, the waiter says: ‘Penne.’

The soccer obsessed follower spits back: ‘Yeah, well England’s good at penalties too, and do you know what we have that you don’t?’, before pointing to his head, as he tells the waiter: ‘Heart’.

Wrapping up the scene, the waiter tells the fan that football is about sport rather than a cultural war and asks if he and Linda have ever been to Italy, to which she says: ‘I went somewhere nice in the south.’

Honestly, I think this is your best written sketch yet. Hilarious.

The waiter responds: ‘Ah, Naples,’ to which the fan declares: ‘Right, listen here. You can talk about my country, you do not talk about my wife’s nipples.’

The fan concludes: ‘Ariba dirt jeep.’

Munya’s followers were quick to respond with messages of delight, with one tweeting: ‘Yo.. you gotta miss at some point.. surely you gotta miss… HE SIMPLY WON’T MISS!! Keep em’ comin…’
