EDF Renewables and ESB has revealed the four venues for a series of supply chain events next month to offer local companies the edge in securing work on the 450MW Neart na Gaoithe (NnG) offshore wind farm off Scotland.
Scottish businesses interested in being part of the NnG supply chain are invited to register for the events where the project team and Tier 1 contractors will showcase how more local companies can help support the successful delivery of the £1.8bn project.
The first event will be on 2 March at The Brunton in Musselburgh, followed by the second the next day at the Doubletree by Hilton in North Queensferry, Fife.
The third meeting will be in Dundee at the Apex City Quay Hotel on the 4 March, with the final event at Aberdeen FC’s Pittodrie Stadium the following day.
Registration at each event will be open from 08.30am, with the events starting at 09.30am and finishing at 3.00pm.
Businesses can register for the supply chain event in their local area by visiting the NnG Offshore Wind website.
NnG project director Matthias Haag (pictured) said: “We’re now in the construction phase for NnG and are on schedule to deliver in 2023 what will be an incredible project for Scotland.
“This is such an exciting stage of the development as the project’s Tier 1 contractors get set to mobilise the Scottish supply chain and create local jobs.
“That’s why these supply chain events in March will be so valuable to us.
“We will be able to find out more about the local businesses who we believe have a lot to offer to the project and in turn it will allow our Tier 1 contractors to give the supply chain a detailed insight into the project.
“We are confident that the local supply chain can play a huge role in helping to deliver NnG so we would really appreciate hearing from any Scottish companies.
“I am encouraging as many businesses as possible to come along to these supply chain events in March.”
