Pope County facilities will now feature more options for on-site recycling and waste diversion, thanks to a grant partnership with Pope/Douglas Solid Waste Management that is also open to other area businesses, non-profits and community institutions.

The material and program support from PDSWM is offered under a grant program intended to encourage community businesses and non-profits to recycle, collect organic waste and otherwise reduce the volume of non-recoverable trash waste in the community. These efforts are expected to have not only a positive environmental impact, but an economic impact as well.
