
Dominican Republic state power holding corporation CDEEE has launched an international tender to hire an independent auditing firm to determine the compliance of the financial aspects of the EPC contract to build the 752MW coal-fired Punta Catalina plant.
The operation of the complex (pictured), which was opened last year, has come under scrutiny after one of two units recently went offline due to boiler damage.

Paraguay’s state power company Ande has issued a call to provide individual consulting services for technical assistance electromechanical engineering as part of the revamp of the 200MW Acaray-Yguazú hydro complex.
BNamericas previously reported that Ande had invited shortlisted groups to draft the executive project of the planned overhaul.
