Last week, PwC welcomed top regional representatives from software solutions giant SAP to its recently launched Digital Experience Centre in Dubai.

One of SAP’s top consulting partners globally and in the Middle East, SAP’s visit to its new digital ideation hub was highly anticipated by PwC leaders. Waddah Salah, the boss of Consulting at PwC Middle East, led the visit from PwC’s side, walking SAP’s delegation through the added benefits the firm can now bring to its SAP customer thanks to its new Digital Experience Centre.

Globally, PwC has over 20 such centres, and the Middle East hub formally was inaugurated in December last year. “Our Experience Centre evolves ideas from strategy through to execution, backed by technology. It is a hub for innovation and creativity, solving our region’s most important problems,” explained Salah.

During the visit, PwC’s SAP practice showcased the various SAP assets developed by the firm across multiple industries including financial services, oil & gas and government, as well as lines of business including sales & marketing, finance, and human resources. Special attention was given to SAP S/4HANA offerings – SAP’s latest flagship ERP system for cloud-based working.

Reconfirming the warm relationship between the two companies, Sergio Maccotta, Senior Vice President Middle East South at SAP, said: “We are thrilled that PwC continues to invest in our alliance in the region. With PwC Middle East’s new digital Experience Centre our clients will be able to design their digital innovations with PwC global industry advisors and benefit from their world class digital enablement.”

In the Middle East, PwC Consulting has over 1,300 consultants with a focus on SAP expertise. The firm’s circa 900 management consultants work on planning, process design and change, while the 400 or so technology architects and IT consultants take responsibility for building and maintaining solutions.

The news comes shortly after PwC significantly bolstered its capabilities in the SAP domain with the acquisition of SAP Gold Partner Tyconz’s Enterprise Business, boosting its competencies across SAP S4/HANA and the Success Factors, Ariba, Concur, Qualtrics and Analytics solutions.
