SAP National Security Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAP focused on security issues for the U.S. government, secures the intelligent enterprise by delivering secure cloud hosting and software support for SAP products.

As the pandemic continues to disrupt industries, both private and government sectors have SAP to back them up with intelligent solutions for business continuity and to help them modernise, thrive, and prepare for the post-COVID world. Today, more than ever, SAP has been helping enterprises improve supply chain and procurement processes through significant innovations– having witnessed the vulnerabilities of the global supply chain under the COVID-19 environment. The software company addresses the need to accelerate supply chain transformation to bring customers’ agility and flexibility and speed time to value.

One example of SAP’s efforts in the supply chain is its recently released SAP Digital Supply Chain Management, edition for SAP S/4HANA. The edition is a composable package of solutions for supply chain professionals that can be deployed independently from other solution implementations. The solution’s modularity and interoperability will allow enterprises to focus on their immediate supply chain needs while gradually going through a transformation. It will also address immediate disruption threats with long-term sustained benefits.

Much like with the private sector, the government organisations are also prioritising procurement and supply chain transformation to remain agile against the pandemic background. Along with transformation as a top priority, the government sector recognises the need to quickly adapt and adhere to strict and ever-evolving privacy and security standards that go with supply chain and procurement.

Enhancing SAP National Security Services Portfolio

Specific to the U.S. government and regulated industries’ customers, SAP National Security Services (SAP NS2) brings a high level of security in SAP products such as SAP S/4HANA Cloud, SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Integrated Business Planning for Supply Chain, and SAP Analytics Cloud solutions. Now, to further accelerate the government organisations’ modernisation efforts, SAP NS2 will be integrating SAP Ariba solutions into its portfolio.

SAP NS2 delivers leading analytics insight and data fusion technologies from SAP and applies them to mission-critical workloads. To help procurement leaders gain better visibility into spend, SAP NS2 plans to deploy SAP Ariba solutions for U.S. federal, state, and local governments and other regulated industries’ customers including aerospace and defense, utilities, and higher education. Integrating SAP Ariba intelligent spend solutions is foreseen to increase efficiency across the supply chain, reduce costs and risks, and gain data-driven insights to drive more strategic operations from sourcing and orders through invoice and payment.

Aside from accelerating customers’ supply chain digitalisation, SAP Ariba together with SAP NS2 Mission solutions increases awareness over supply chains and protects against the infiltration of counterfeit goods into U.S. national defense programs, pharmaceutical compounds, and technology components.

SAP NS2 supports the government-wide program Federal Risk and Authorization Management Program (FedRAMP) that provides a standardised approach to security assessment, authorisation, and continuous monitoring for cloud products and services. FedRAMP empowers agencies to use modern cloud technologies, with emphasis on security and protection of federal information and helps accelerate the adoption of secure, cloud solutions.

SAP Ariba solutions will add to the value of SAP NS2’s FedRAMP-authorized Cloud Intelligent Enterprise that has been changing the landscape of businesses across various market segments. Currently, the SAP NS2’s Cloud Intelligent Enterprise initiative provides organisations access to real-time data for better decision-making, an intuitive user experience for more effective collaboration, and enhanced security.
