“Stay at home” order imposes in Zabuthiri, Pyinmana, Taungoo, Bago and Pyay

“Stay at home” order is imposed in Zabuthiri and Pyinmana townships in Nay Pyi Taw, Taungoo, Bago and Pyay townships in Bago Region, announced the authorities at MRTV on 8 pm news.

The order is issued as more COVID-19 cases are found in townships in Nay Pyi Taw and Bago Region, said the report quoting the statement from the Ministry of Health and Sports (MOHS).

Residents of these townships (excluding government employees) are required to live in their own homes and people who are working in private services such as banking and financial services, fuel stations, food and cold storage factories; Manufacture and distribution of pharmaceuticals and medical equipment, production and distribution of purified water and factories producing personal care items are not included in the order.

In addition, private ports that provide services for international cargo ships, local representative offices for shipping lines, international freight forwarder companies, agencies that provide customs services; container truck services, transportation services used in port, employees from inland container depot and dry port and telecommunications services such as postal services, landline and mobile telephone services, internet services, tower and fiber repair services are not included (except for those selling handsets or selling data).

In addition, the statement said that the relevant region / state administration councils can issue the necessary directives and supervise to prevent the spread of COVID-19 disease in factories and workshops which provide raw material processing and processing (CMP).

Citizens included in the “Stay at home” order are required to stay at home and only one person per house should go shopping except for those who go to work in government departments, organizations, companies and factories. If you have to go to a hospital or clinic, only two people per house are allowed. They have to wear a mask to go out of the house. Only vehicles that will transport personnel on duty and vehicles that are allowed to pass through are allowed to pass through the area. In addition to the driver, one more person is allowed in the vehicle for shopping in the neighborhood and only two more people are allowed in the vehicle to go to the hospital.

Also, if someone want to travel for emergency cases, he or she must report to the relevant ward administration members to get permission. Failure to comply with this order will result in disciplinary action under existing laws, it said.
