A local supply chain management and warehouse supply company is tripling its footprint with a move to the suburbs.
Sue Tellier, president of Grand Rapids-based JetCo Federal, said Feb. 18 that her company signed a long-term lease in a new 16,100-square-foot, mixed-use office space at 5575 Kraft Ave. SE in Cascade Township.
Construction is underway, and JetCo Federal expects to move at the end of February.
The company currently is located at 525 Ottawa Ave. NW in downtown Grand Rapids.
“The new space is nearly triple the size of our current office, providing much-needed room for our growing company,” Tellier said.
“JetCo Federal has grown more than 1,400% from 2015 to 2018, and that growth is not slowing down. In this month alone, we’ve added two new employees, and we’re planning on adding another two in the coming months. We’re excited about the move and know that the company will flourish here.”
Partner companies JetCo Solutions, Smart Chain Logistics and Patriot Solutions also work in the current downtown office and will make the move with JetCo Federal.
The office — which will house a total of 26 employees — will have a training room, several conference rooms, a kitchen and bar area, a reception area, warehouse space and room to add new employees.
Kentwood-based First Companies is the contractor on the project.
