The moment Kaka was nutmegged on a Hoxton astroturf pitch by warehouse worker who had not slept

Kaka, the Brazilian World Cup winner, turned up at an astroturf pitch in East London this afternoon to surprise some six-a-side players and ended up being humiliatingly nutmegged by a Hackney Wick defender who had just come off a night shift at a local warehouse.

The former Balon d’Or winner was in Hoxton as part of an adidas promotional campaign and despite scoring a remarkable goal he was left a little red-faced by the Wick full back Jamal Farid, who arrived at a small-sided tournament in east London straight from work because a friend’s team were one player short.

Despite having not slept, Farid casually played the ball between the 37-year-old’s legs in a clip that quickly went viral on Twitter and Snapchat.

Afterwards the Milan and Real Madrid star tweeted Farid “Well done @jamalfarid14 you gave me extra motivation to be 100% unfair” with an attached clip of him scoring a left-footed screamer into the top right corner.

Kaka’s team for the day, Reach Out FC, came from behind to win the game 4-2, while Farid said that he was heading home to catch some sleep before returning to work this evening.

The Brazilian, who scored twice and provided an assist afterwards said he would give the boots he wore to the man who had briefly embarrassed him, appeared as part of a ‘rent-a-pred’ campaign in which adidas sponsored players have turned up to surprise teams short of bodies who had messaged a WhatsApp hotline for a ringer to turn up.

There is one remaining opportunity for players to get involved with the ‘rent-a-pred’ campaign by messaging 07444081752 before 11.30pm tonight with more adidas players being sent out tomorrow.

Entrants will be asked to provide some basic information on their team and the game they need a player for and they will hear if they have been successful on the morning of their game – although they will not learn the identity of that player until just before their game kicks off.

Stay tuned to football.london in the coming days for an exclusive interview with former Chelsea and England striker Eni Aluko, who also appeared at ‘rent-a-pred’ event this week.
