Hospitality is one of the fastest-growing industries in the world. With so much focus on bucket list travel and spending money on experiences rather than material things, it’s no secret that FOMO (the fear of missing out) is real.
So much so, that according to a 2019 Deloitte US Travel and Hospitality Outlook, $183 billion will be spent on travel and leisure activities.
With so much money going toward travel, there’s bound to be a security issue.
VENZA, an IT company focused on cybersecurity within the hospitality industry, has opened a new operations center in Pensacola.
“It’s been a long time coming,” VENZA brand ambassador Sean Shields said. “We’re virtual. Our clients would say they would like to take a look at the space, but we didn’t have one. This is a way of building trust. Here’s the place, with actual people working to keep your information safe.”
More new businesses in Pensacola
Even though VENZA boasts a client base of 225,000 users in more than 100 countries, a strong military base in Pensacola was one of the many reasons VENZA decided to open an office.
“Being a veteran and having grown up there, I know Pensacola has the technology infrastructure and talent base to launch this new division quickly,” VENZA Chief Information Officer David Christiansen said.
VENZA specializes in a wide variety of services such as next-generation endpoint protection, firewall management and disaster recovery encrypted backup.
To celebrate the new office, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony Feb. 19 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the CoWork Annex.
VENZA is located at 3 W. Garden St. in Pensacola. For more information, visit www.venzagroup.com.
