Woodfield Distribution, LLC, a logistics company specializing in the pharmaceutical industry, recently secured 78,605 square feet of warehouse capacity at 1175 Trademark Drive in the Reno, NV South Meadows Business Park to handle and distribute prescription and over-the-counter medications, nutritional supplements and related products.
The WDSrx expansion into the South Reno submarket fills the need for specialized logistics services to accommodate economic growth in the area of distribution centers, technology start-ups and manufacturing. According to the Western Nevada Development District, the manufacturing industry grew by 78% from 2010-2018 and continues to spur business expansion.
The new facility location was leased on a long-term basis from Link Industrial Properties, LLC and benefits from easy access to major highways a short distance from the California border. Building upgrades are currently being undertaken to obtain drug and food licensing from government and regulatory authorities. Full operation is expected to commence by April, 2021. The building currently maintains a Controlled Room Temperature environment between 15-25 degrees Celsius required to meet GMP guidelines for the handling and fulfillment of pharmaceutical drug products.
Established in 2010 at Boca Raton, Florida, the WDSrx Reno-Sparks location is the ninth warehouse in addition to facilities in Texas, Florida, New Jersey and Ohio. The company is currently hiring approximately 20-25 full-time employees in warehouse and administrative functions.
“The WDSrx expansion into Reno, Nevada marks our arrival as a national logistics network providing clients with efficiencies in shipping times, services and productivity,” said Adam Runsdorf, president, WDSrx.
